RCC-600 SM

A great in-wall subwoofer. Fits into 16″ on center stud bay. Four powerful drivers deliver room shaking bass into the listening environment.

REQUIRES A SEPARATE AMPLIFIER, Please contact Artison for more information

Enjoy thunderous, room-filling bass without taking up floor space with a traditional subwoofer. The in-wall Artison RCC-600-SM is a perfect complement to an Artison in-wall home theater system. A separate amplifier powers the subwoofer, giving you big, enveloping bass — from the rumble of a truck passing by to the pounding of artillery fire in a battle scene.

New, patented technologies for accurate bass reproduction
The RCC-600-SM features a truly unique design. Instead of using one woofer, it features four racetrack-shaped woofers in a special configuration for precise, efficient lows. Artison’s “reactance canceling” technology places pairs of these woofers firing toward one another, attached to a highly rigid baffle. Vibrations due to individual driver motion are canceled out, reducing distortion for clean, clear bass. This innovative design also allows you to install the sub in your wall, without worrying about vibrations disturbing your picture frames and paintings.

RCC-600-SM in-wall subwoofer:
 • four 5″ x 8″ racetrack-shaped woofers — output is comparable to that of one 13″ woofer
 • reactance canceling technology places pairs of woofers opposite each other to reduce sound-muddying vibrations
 • frequency response 20-160 Hz (±3dB)
 • cutout: 8-1/2″W x 22-1/2″H
 • mounting depth: 3-3/4″
 • paintable grille: 8-1/2″W x 22″H
 • 9-7/16″W x 23-1/2″H

Reactance Canceling Configuration (RCC): Artison’s exclusive Reactance Canceling Configuration places two drivers opposing one another in phase so that the reactance force on the baskets mechanically cancel one another out and eliminate vibration and distortion found in conventional woofers. This results in zero vibration, low distortion, and extreme natural accuracy which allows the subwoofer to sound great inside your wall.

Dual Drive Motor Assembly: The RCC600-SM’s high performance drivers were developed using a patented Dual Drive Motor Assembly which provides very high efficiency and long excursion. The woofer module configuration has two pairs of drivers opposing each other. The baskets are rigidly attached to one another to allow the reactance forces generated by the cone motion to cancel. The system has an Sd (piston area) 600 cm2 (typical 12″ woofer has an Sd of 420-480 cm2) and X-max of 12mm.

Drivers: The RCC600-SM is equipped with four HEMMG 5″ x 8″ Racetrack Woofers that can handle frequencies between 20Hz and 200Hz. Artison RCC HEMMG drivers use High-Efficiency Multiple Gap Motor assemblies to increase X-MAX (excursion) and efficiency (92dB).

Cabinet: The RCC600-SM features a BMC (Bulk Molding Compound) baffle and 3/4″ MDF acoustic suspension cabinet in a white satin finish. BMC is well damped and has the rigidity of stainless steel. The cabinet also features a removable, magnetic metal grille. Both the cabinet can grille can be painted to match your decor (plastic paint shield supplied).

Connections: The RCC600-SM features a pair of gold-plated spring-post speaker terminals and uses standard speaker wire for ease of installation.

Mounting: The RCC600-SM features six integrated dog-leg clamps and comes supplied with a cut-out template for mounting purposes. The RCC600-SM in-wall subwoofer module can be installed into either an:

RCC600-IWPBB

In-Wall pre-construction enclosure

This box was designed to match the Artison RCC-600-SM in-wall subwoofer. It installs easily into a stud bay while a home is in the early stages of construction or renovation. Install it before the drywall goes up to mark the sub’s location for your builder, and you won’t need to cut holes later.

You can also use this enclosure for retrofitting your Artison in-wall subwoofer. It ensures accurate, consistent bass regardless of what’s behind your wall.

Overview: The Artison In-Wall Pre-Build Box (RCC600-IWPBB) is designed to provide the minimum air volume requirement in a sealed and braced enclosure for the Artison RCC600-SM in-wall subwoofer module. The Artison pre-build box installs easily in the early stages of home construction and allows an easy installation of the RCC-600-SM in-wall subwoofer module in the later trim-in phase of the installation. This pre-build box is also designed to be easily retrofitted into existing standard home construction.

Enclosure: The RCC600-IWPBB provides an acoustic suspension enclosure for your RCC600-SM in-wall subwoofer module. The enclosure features a white satin finish which can be painted to match your decor.

Mounting: The RCC600 In-Wall Pre-Build Box is designed to fit into the bay of a stud wall that is constructed of 2″ x 4″ studs spaced at 16″ on-center. A deeper all may be used but the stud spacing should still be 16″ on center. The front-face of the RCC600-IWPBB is designed to mount flush with the finished drywall surface. The in-wall pre-build box has two integrated mounted flanges with pre-drilled mounting holds that run along the two longer edges of the enclosure. These secure the RCC600-IWPBB to the two studs that make up the stud bay. When mounting the RCC600-IWPBB fasten 1-1/2″ drywall screws (not supplied) through the pre-drilled holes in the mounting flanges to the two studs on each side of the bay. This will ensure a safe and secure installation. The front edges of the RCC600-IWPBB are chamfered to allow mudding, taping ,and sanding of all four edges flush with the drywall. The drywall thickness is critical to the mounting of the in-wall pre-build box.

 • If the construction calls for 1/2″ drywall, then the RCC600-IWPBB should be mounted directly to the studs. After the drywall is hung, the edges of the in-wall pre-build box should be taped, mudded, and sanded flush with the drywall.
 • If the construction calls for 5/8″ drywall, the use the two 3mm wood spacers supplied to fur the in-wall pre-build box out from the stud wall. After the drywall is hung, the edges of the RCC600-IWPBB should be taped, mudded, and sanded flush with the drywall.

Connections: The RCC600-IWPBB features a pair of gold-plated spring-post terminals on the top of the enclosure to attach your in-wall speaker wire. Inside the box is 14AWG speaker wire leads (positive/negative) with bare-tinned wire to connect your RCC600-SM in-wall subwoofer module.

A great free standing subwoofer. Four powerful drivers deliver room shaking bass into the listening environment.

REQUIRES A SEPARATE AMPLIFIER, Please contact Artison for more information

Innovative design gives you high-impact bass
Artison’s RCC-600-FS subwoofer is the first of its kind — instead of using one woofer, it features four racetrack-shaped woofers in a special configuration for precise, efficient lows. A separate amplifier powers the subwoofer, giving you thunderous bass that makes movies, TV shows, and video games come alive in your living room.

New, patented technologies for clear sound
This sub uses Artison’s “reactance canceling” technology, which places the four woofers in pairs firing toward one another, attached to a highly rigid baffle. Vibrations due to individual driver motion are canceled out, reducing distortion for clean, accurate bass. This innovative design also allows you to place this sub on the floor or even on a shelf, without worrying about vibrations disturbing your picture frames and vases.

Reactance Canceling Configuration (RCC): Artison’s exclusive Reactance Canceling Configuration places two drivers opposing one another in phase so that the reactance force on the baskets mechanically cancel one another out and eliminate vibration and distortion found in conventional woofers. This results in zero vibration, low distortion, and extreme natural accuracy that allows the subwoofer to be used in multiple configuration (including in-cabinet, or floor)

Dual Drive Motor Assembly: The RCC600-FS’s high performance drivers were developed using a patented Dual Drive Motor Assembly which provides very high efficiency and long excursion. The woofer module configuration has two pairs of drivers opposing each other. The baskets are rigidly attached to one another to allow the reactance forces generated by the cone motion to cancel.
